Privacy

Bistro Research collects as little as it can. Reading anything on this site needs no account.

Accounts
A username, and when you sign in with Google or Microsoft, your name, email address and that provider's account identifier. We never receive your password for Google or Microsoft, and we store passwords for username accounts only as salted hashes.
Forms
What you write in a proposal, maintainer application or organisation inquiry, with your name and email. Maintainers read these; nothing you send there is published.
Donations
The amount, the program, the name you chose to show (or anonymous) and a payment reference. Card details go to our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store them.
Runs and tokens
If you run a task with your own agent, we store the result you submit, the model usage you report, and a hashed access token. Your login and API keys stay on your machine.
Email
If you give an email address we write only about things you follow, fund or submit, plus a welcome note. Every message has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Cookies
One session cookie and one security cookie, both needed to keep you signed in. No advertising or analytics cookies.

Public by design

Research results, the names of maintainers who sign findings, the display name you choose on a donation, and the ledger of what each dollar paid for are public. Your email address never is.

Who processes data for us

Google Cloud (hosting and database, United States), Google and Microsoft (sign-in, only if you choose them), Stripe (payments) and an email delivery provider (messages above). We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to moiseev.igor@gmail.com. We will delete your account and email address on request; records of donations and published findings are kept so the ledger stays accurate, with your name removed.
