Terms

Plain terms for an early project. If something here is unclear or unfair, tell us.

What this is: Bistro Research is an experimental open platform where funders, volunteers and expert maintainers run research programs with AI agents. It is early software, offered as is, with no warranty.
Results are not advice: Findings are research outputs, marked provisional until a named maintainer signs them. Nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice. Do not make health decisions from it.
Donations: A donation pays for compute on the program you choose, in the order donations arrive, and the ledger shows what it paid for. Donations are not investments and give no ownership or return. If a run cannot be started with your donation, ask us and we will refund the unspent part.
Volunteering with your own agent: You decide what to run, and you use your own coding agent and account. Use them within your provider's terms. Bistro never receives your login or API key. What you submit is reviewed by a maintainer before anything is published, and may be credited to you by name.
Your submissions: You keep the rights to what you write. By submitting a result you allow us to publish it with credit, under an open licence we state on the program page. Do not submit anything you do not have the right to share, or any private or patient data.
Conduct: No attempts to break the platform, spam, impersonation, or requests for work that could help cause harm. We can remove content and close accounts that do.
